Today, I wanted to show you girls how to get one of my favorite eye shadow looks. It is so much fun, so easy and such a great look for when you’re wanting to a fun look for your Summer get togetherS. We all know how the new thing in fashion is color blocking… well! This is totally color blocking for your eyes! It is a really pretty peachy pink on your top lid with a light green color lining your bottom lid. I seriously LOVE it. Makeup tutorial color blocking :
This is what it looks like! Don’t you love it?? It totally will make any eye color pop! Here’s how to get it!
First of all-the palette that I am using for this look is the 120 Color Palette 4th Edition from BHcosmetics. (You can buy it here
along with a ton of super affordable makeup!)
The brushes I am using are from Sigma cosmetics. (Buy them here
. They are EXPENSIVE. So you may need to save up a little to get them but having high quality brushes is so worth it!)
Taking an eyeshadow brush I am putting this very light peachy pink color all over my eyelid from lash to brow. As you can see, this color is nearly invisible but it helps to set the tone for other colors.
Next, I am going to go into this darker shade of peach and apply this from my lash line to just above my crease. (Make sure not to take it all up to your eyebrow, it will look silly!)
Taking this coral color and a crease brush (the one I used came included with my Naked 2 Palette from Urban Decay which you can buy here
) blend this color in the crease of your eye and pull it down to the outer corner of your eye.
Here’s a close up of what your eyelid will look like after those three steps since the previous pictures aren’t great at showing the finished look. (And I am sorry these pictures aren’t that great either. I need a new camera!)
Next, take a small pencil brush that is able to make a small line underneath your bottom lashes. Dab this brush into a light green color and apply the green line to your bottom lid. You can flare this line out slightly like I did for a more dramatic look.
Here’s a close up of what your eyes should look like after you are done with the eyeshadow. I know it looks crazy but adding mascara and eyeliner really helps to complete the look.
The last two steps are eyeliner and mascara. When applying your eyeliner, keep it simple. I did just a basic line with my eyeliner and because I flared out the green color on my bottom lid, I didn’t bother to try and flare out my eyeliner. Then apply your mascara on both top and bottom eyelashes and if you would like, add eyeliner to your top and bottom water lines like I do.
And that’s it!! I think this is such a fun look that will really compliment any eye color and show off your fun side! And even though it’s a different look, I think it’s totally doable to wear for just about any occasion.
I hope you girls liked it and try it out! If you do, please let me know and send me pictures!
Thanks for stopping by!
